It was back to the future on March 6, when the Wishek City Council voted 4-3 again against a partnership with the Wishek Association of Commerce on their ongoing flower basket project for the second time in about a year.

As part of the Association's beautification and community pride effort, more than 40 businesses and individuals have contributed nearly $5,000 for the decorative flower baskets that adorn utility poles in the City each summer.

One thorny issue persists. Funding. There aren't enough bloomin' greenbacks to fund the green thumbs.
