Friendly Faces ready to spread cheer

Posted 11/30/16 (Wed)

You don't have to go all the way to the North Pole to see Santa's elves.

Some of them are hard at work right here in town as part of the Wishek Friendly Faces group.

The Friendly Faces are planning their fourth-annual holiday project, with the goal of spreading seasonal cheer throughout the community.

Gift-wrapping services will be provided just one day this year — from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 3) at Pinke Lumber, located at 403 Beaver Ave.

Refreshments will be served and there'll be holiday music on the speakers, along with plenty of smiles.

Free-will donations are accepted in exchange for the gift-wrapping. Proceeds will go toward making Christmas merry for families or individuals in Wishek.

If you know of someone who could use a little extra holiday cheer, email a nomination to wishekfriendlyfaces@bektel.com or call Whittney Lipp at 701-321-0456.

Wishek Friendly Faces is always looking for new elves, so potential volunteers and anyone who wishes to donate to the project fund also may use the above contact information to get details on how to help.
