The seventh-annual Wishek 5K Walk/Run was held June 18, in conjunction with Summer Fun Days and the All-School Reunion.
 
Fifty-one people registered for the event, with 47 on hand to participate in the race.
 
Total proceeds have not yet been determined, but they will be donated to help establish the new Mini-Tumblers gymnastics program.
 
Winners included Rod Dockter, Minneapolis, Minnesota, (23:24) and Connor Kosiak, Wishek, (25:55), fastest male runners; Megan Rath (24:25) and Ashley Rath (27:16), both of Wishek, fastest female runners; and Peggy Bettenhausen (42:17) and Karen Sayler (43:18), both of Wishek, fastest female walkers. No male walkers competed this year.
