A Dunseith native is finalizing purchase of the Lariat Lounge in Wishek.
 
Brad Williams says he expects to take over the bar this week. It's located at 11 12th St. S., just east of Stan's SuperValu.
 
Williams is a graduate of Minot State University, where he earned degrees in Accounting, Business Administration and Business Management.
 
After finishing college, Williams began his work life as an insurance agent. He later earned considerable business management experience in various positions, including as the top operations employee at a convenience store.
 
Williams has spent the last 15 years in Hallock, Minnesota, which is located just east of the North Dakota border. He owned and operated the Valley Motel on Highway 75.
 
"I was owner, manager, desk clerk, bellhop, maid, and just about everything else," Williams says, with a chuckle. "You name it, and if it was motel-related, I probably did it."
